Business Analyst - Customer Success at Cylance
Irvine, CA, US

Cylance is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Customer Advocacy Team. You will report directly to the Vice President of Worldwide Customer Advocacy. Your main tasks will include extensive report creating and generating in Gainsight and Salesforce, review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs, define and document internal systems and data requirements in a clear and concise manner. To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.



  • Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
  • Effectively communicate your insights and plans to team members, management and clients using complex data and analysis translated into an easily understood format so it is suitable across diverse groups with varying abilities
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
  • Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance
  • Update, implement, and maintain procedures
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and decompose high-level information into details
  • Create and perform weekly and monthly reviews and analyses
  • Manage competing resources and priorities
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams; study system capabilities; write specifications
  • Improve systems by studying current practices; design modifications
  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
  • Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations
  • Actively participate in the implementation of approved change
  • Create and maintain detailed workflows and other presentations as needed



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in appropriate field of study
  • Gainsight Admin at least 2 years’ experience
  • Salesforce Admin at least 5 years’ experience
  • Ability to impact operations, improve on processes and effect change without being confrontational
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive and conceptual thinking skills
  • Highly organized, efficient, accurate, with strong time-management skills and takes pride in producing high quality work
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
