Position Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Sr Deal Desk Analyst who is interested in joining a fast-moving SaaS Machine Data Analytics startup. The Deal Desk team sits within the larger Global Sales Ops dept and works collaboratively across Sales, Customer Success, Legal. Product and Finance teams to drive deals to closure,

In this role, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support and guidance to our Account Executives and Customer Account Managers in all aspects of deal structuring, pricing, quote creation, negotiation, and contract review.  As a Senior Deal Desk Analyst, you not only will be a trusted advisor to the Sales team but also will work closely with senior executive and leadership including the CRO, CFO and VP of Sales Operations to ensure deals are optimally managed to their conclusion.

General Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Sales and act as a first point of contact and strategic advisor on all matters related to deal structure, pricing, etc.
  • Work closely with leaders in the Finance, Legal, Sales and Operations organizations on complex, non-standard transactions and provide business insights and analysis
  • Internally drive the deal process including the day-to-day aspects of quoting and commercial terms approvals to support swift and efficient execution of deals
  • Participate in training of Sales on any updates to deal process or tools
  • Assist Sales Operations management team with system/tools/process improvements, special projects, etc.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • BA/BS degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field is a plus
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a deal desk or sales operations role, preferably in a complex software solutions environment
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Salesforce
  • Deep experience working cross-functionally with multiple internal stakeholders including Sales, Finance and Legal
  • Working knowledge of SaaS subscription models and revenue recognition
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and willingness to work extended hours during end of quarters
  • Extremely strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
