Sr. Docker/Kubernetes Infrastructure Software Engineer at Sumo Logic
Redwood City, CA, US
Who We Are:

We are Sumo Logic, and we are building the next generation Machine Data Analytics Platform --- delivered as a cloud-based service. We have 1400+ enterprise customers with $160.5M in funding from the world's leading investors (Accel, Greylock, Sequoia, Sutter Hill, and DFJ Growth). Our system is a highly distributed, fault tolerant, multi-tenant platform that includes bleeding edge components related to storage, messaging, search, and analytics. Our purpose-built, cloud-native service ingests over 3 million log messages per second and analyzes more than 100 petabytes of data from more than 16 million searches per day – positioning Sumo Logic among the most powerful machine data analytics services in the world.

What You’ll Do:

As a member of the Infrastructure team, you will design and build high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable backend services and tools that power the entire Sumo Logic engineering team. Examples include data queues based on Kafka, auto-scaling infrastructure to dynamically scale up or down a cluster based on a set of load metrics, “partitioner” to allocate and maintain a set of dynamic tasks in a cluster, and many more. Additionally, Sumo Logic Engineering is undergoing a transformation of its end-to-end build, deploy, and test infrastructure using Docker/Kubernetes and you will be instrumental in defining and building that future.
