We are seeking an Econometrician to apply statistical modeling and computing expertise to derive meaningful insights from our satellite imagery. Work with the Product, Engineering and Machine Learning teams to research, evaluate, and interpret the data to help our customers to answer questions.
Extract time series data on commodities e.g. oil supply, mining output or ag output.
Create external-facing reports of work and present to internal and external stakeholders and at industry events and conferences
Ensure the accuracy, reproducibility, and validity of analyses and models by following appropriate work practices and procedures
B.A./B.S or M.B.A. with specialization in econometrics in econometrics, economics, or related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience
Strong proficiency in statistical computing (R and Python) and experience with spatial data manipulation and big data technologies
Deep understanding of time series modeling and stochastic process
Direct, hands-on experience developing and working with economic and financial models and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast paced, agile development environment
Self motivated and able to work independently with minimal direct supervision
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and problem solve with minimum supervision
Excellent organizational skills
