The Role:

Planet's Product Owners are experts in Planet’s product lines and customer needs.

The Product Owner: Proposal Manager and Writer will drive forward complex proposals for both government and commercial customers. For this role, you can translate your expertise in these areas into world class and timely responses to RFPs, Tenders, and RFIs.

You will collaborate across our business, operations, and product teams and work closely with engineering and program management as well. You will be expected to drive schedules and content development for high value opportunities. You will also need to be comfortable and thrives in managing and writing proposals in a start-up environment.

The Role:

Become an expert in Planet products.
Work with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and the Product Team to provide develop content and drive forward complex commercial proposal generation.
Own the messaging of proposals by creating a consistent narrative for any product line. This material will drive sales and must-win deals.
The Must Haves:

3 - 4 years experience in Proposal Management, Product Business Strategy, and/or complex commercial proposal generation
College education in a technical or business field
Experience creating and documenting complex enterprise level business proposals and use cases.
Experience working with cloud storage, imagery or with geographical information systems.
Experience orchestrating complex proposal execution.
History of award-winning, high value proposals (in the Millions).

Demonstrated success working directly with customers and users.
Variety of award-winning proposals that demonstrates flexibility to work with any type of government or commercial customer.
