We’re developing a VR-based story creation sandbox for the masses, built using the latest virtual reality and mobile technologies, and we’re looking for an IT Assistant that loves technology and is interested in virtual reality to help us lead the charge.

The Everyday View

The IT Assistant will help with hardware and software desktop support, setting up new users and software applications, new technology initiatives and ongoing projects, and basic network and systems administration.

Job Overview

Set up new workstations, including desktop, peripherals, and VR equipment
Assist with desktop support for end users, assisting users with software as needed
Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware
Provide support for additional hardware, software and network, including printers, scanners, iPads, Chromecasts, TVs, Wireless Network
Install and upgrade desktop software applications, manage software updates and patches
Perform routine preventive maintenance on hardware/software, including updates and patches
Maintain systems documentation and procedures, and assist with helpdesk/support tickets and support knowledgebase
Assist engineering team with ongoing projects and technology initiatives
Research and support new technology projects with assistance from the engineering team
Assist with managing hardware inventory
Assist with testing the application
The Kind of Person We're Looking For

Currently based in Los Angeles, California.
Knowledge of basic workstation components, hardware and accessories
Comfortable with installing PC hardware components, including memory, graphics cards,and other components
Experience troubleshooting Windows and Mac desktops and laptops
Comfortable with installing and troubleshooting software applications
Good understanding of hardware, server, network, and web technologies
Understanding of basic networking, WiFi setup, and general familiarity with network devices
Active Directory, server administration and cloud systems experience a plus
Familiarity with G Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Cloud
Apple iOS (iPhone/iPad) experience a plus
Experience with audiovisual equipment
Virtual Reality experience or interest
