DataStax, the leader in data management for cloud applications, is seeking a talented Senior Video Producer to join our DataStax team.
DataStax is seeking a Senior Video Producer with experience producing, filming, and editing videos that are educational and entertaining for technical, online audiences. This is a critical part of our Developer Relations organization where we have a mission to help DataStax users be awesome when they use our products. Candidate should be creative, self-motivated, organized, and collaborative, and able to juggle multiple active projects in collaboration with various stakeholders. Candidate should also be comfortable wearing multiple, hands-on hats and able to execute video shoots personally.
Essential Job Functions:
Understand company’s strategic objectives and incorporate messaging into all video creation.
Manage strategic vision of all on-line training programs. (10%)
Present new content to team for feedback and approval. (15%)
Create compelling trailers, imagery, cinematics and videos with excellent pacing and exciting content. (50%)
Create video content from shot lists, storyboards and pre-viz edits, with a careful focus on camera framing, shot composition and flow. (20%)
Establish continuity of the brand look & appeal, while also creating fresh visuals that help increase brand awareness (5%)
Balance quality with efficiency while managing timely deliveries
Follow and maintain pipelines and technical requirements
5+ years of video production experience at a director level
Ideally, 3+ years focused on training materials for a high-tech company
Experience working on software training/sales enablement cinematics or trailers
A deep knowledge-base of cinematography, video-editing, photo-editing and lighting
3-5 years of production experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop)
Knowledgeable in video/photo compression, codecs, audio creation/editing
Understanding of traditional photography/videography techniques
Self-motivated team player with excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Ability to quickly learn new/proprietary software
