DataStax, the leader in data management for cloud applications, is seeking a talented Director, Sales Development to join our DataStax team.

Essential Job Functions:
Manage the WW BDR team to develop qualified sales opportunities and achieve their monthly targets, including providing regular visibility into team-level and rep-level performance
Drive the sales pipeline necessary to hit annual quotas that impact the company’s bookings and revenue targets
Provide motivation, coaching and product knowledge development with the goal of preparing the team for career advancement
Partner with WW sales leadership regarding territory alignment, which, as a fast-growing company evolves regularly
Closely partner with Marketing regarding the lead-flow process, from initial inquiry to sales qualified opportunity, and provide closed-loop feedback to improve process and to increase efficiency and accountability- imperative to be operationally strong to drive reporting to executive leadership team.
Participate in comp planning and quota allocation exercise to drive company’s go-to-market strategy

Job Requirements:
4+ years of experience in sales development or sales
Demonstrated success in working in a sales development or inside sales role preferred
2+ years of experience in management of sales development function, including strong operational capabilities to measure and manage the business
Ability to attract, hire, retain, and promote top talent, and demonstrable track record of successful team building
Ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines in a fast-paced start-up environment
Winning attitude and self-starter, capable of, and comfortable with, taking initiative without extensive management oversight
Worldwide experience preferred
Strong team player, capable of working collaboratively across a number of functions
Strong knowledge of software (SaaS) sales preferred
Knowledge in the analytics or Open Source software space preferred
Expertise in foundation tools: Salesforce, Outreach.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Excel/Google Suite, lead matching tools
High energy, positive attitude required
Travel will be required for this role, 50%.
