Technical Product Marketing Manager
Reporting to the VP of Product Marketing, this role will provide strategic planning and tactical execution of content development, sales enablement and customer engagement across both IT Ops/DevOps and Security Analytics markets. The successful candidate will bring years of technical and Analytics domain expertise, to gain credibility quickly with Sales & Customers as the Subject matter expert.
Develop and own product collateral, technical sales tools and differentiated Sumo platform positioning across both DevOps and Security solutions.
Support creation of enablement plans and deliver it to sales, sales engineering, and partners
Train and enable sales teams to deeply understand not only the buyer value proposition of the Sumo platform, but also features and capabilities of the product
Engage deeply in customer and prospect conversations as part of the sales cycle to positively impact the outcome for the company
Design and develop sales and marketing collateral for Sumo Logic solutions including presentations, blogs, white papers, videos, demos etc
Develop competitive assessments, and creative collateral to position Sumo uniquely in the minds of Analytics practitioners
Support customer meetings and training sessions, Evangelize Sumo Logic in ecosystem/partnering activities
Drive integrated communications initiatives with other businesses and teams across internal and partner ecosystem
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience::
Minimum 5 years experience in product management or product marketing or sales engineering or technical marketing roles with a complex SaaS offering geared to IT Ops / DevOps.
In-depth industry experience and working knowledge of one or more domains of IT Operations, DevOps, Security Management and Application monitoring.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills to evangelize how Sumo excels at offerings for the various IT Operations persona both internally and externally.
Highly technical to be able to independently develop demos, webinars, videos, technical collateral, ROI/value oriented assessments, etc.
Highly collaborative work style to learn from others and build upon their ideas.
Passion for driving product innovation and to effectively communicate cross functionally within Product Development, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
Curiosity to learn the intricacies of Sumo Logic's business and adapt past experiences to Sumo Logic's current opportunities.
Technical undergraduate degree and/or a MBA preferred.
