Our Imagery Analytics group is a high impact team that’s building next generation of global coverage and daily imagery tools. We’re talking about the projects that will help us move from seeing the past to understanding what’s happening today. To achieve this, we’re working on software that utilizes the latest techniques in machine learning (including deep learning), computer vision, and remote sensing and we’re looking for talented engineers that have applied experience to join our team.
As a Deep Learning Engineer, you'll work on a small team and collaborate closely with your peers in order to:
Research and develop novel deep learning models using hyperspectral satellite data.
Build data sets to power model development.
Improve upon existing state of the art deep learning models.
Help architect Planet’s Deep learning infrastructure
The Must Haves:
Experience solving real-world problems with machine and deep learning models.
Expertise in modern deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe2, Theano, MXNet, CNTK, or Keras.
Expertise in at least one general purpose programming language such as Python, Java, or C++.
Ph. D or M.S. degree in machine learning/deep learning.
The Nice to Haves:
5+ years experience building software.
Experience developing custom remote sensing applications.
Experience with Jupyter Notebooks to perform analysis.
Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform
Experience reading and implementing research papers.
