Product Manager at Livongo Health

The Livongo team is powered by passion for our mission of empowering people with chronic conditions to live better. As a Senior Product Manager responsible for new products, you’ll be joining a mission-driven team from leading consumer technology companies like Twitter, Google, and Evernote, and healthcare companies like Castlight, Allscripts, and Boston Scientific. In collaboration with designers, engineers, data scientists, and clinicians, you’ll be building a product that makes people healthier through a combination of interactive connected health devices, machine learning, and the latest approaches to service and experience design.
The ideal candidate for this role has a mix of healthcare and consumer tech background, a passion for mission-driven companies and products, and several product cycles of experience in software development. Experience with medical devices, and knowledge of regulatory and quality management systems is a strong plus. And, you have strong analytical skills, a data-driven perspective on product management, and a high degree of comfort in conversing with clinical subject matter experts, including physician generalists and specialists.
Livongo has been rapidly expanding, with over 150 clients (including leading health plans) and tens of thousands of members with chronic conditions active in our programs. We’re charting our course to bring more services to our clients and members, by expanding our product suite and market segments, and you’ll be in a unique position to help us set this trajectory and execute on our expansion.
What You Will Do
Own the product vision for your product. Ensure that it aligns with the overall product and company vision, and be an expert on the domain, the market, and the trends.
Evangelize the vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context and understand where we are going.
Represent the user. Bring the customer's voice into the creation process. Own requirements, specifications, and release plans.
Drive the end to end feature deliver cycle. Work closely with design to develop, test, and deliver assets to engineering. Work with the engineering team to deliver a world-class product driven by customers, prospects, advisory teams and internal product experts.
Measure success. Define what success means for each feature and each function before it even goes to development. Develop ways to constantly define and monitor success.
Collaborate across teams. Coordinate product release communications for your components. Work closely with Product Marketing Managers to promote your products both internally and externally and ensure a cohesive message.
What You Have Done
8+ years of product management experience.
BA/BS or higher in relevant field from a top school.
Strong healthcare background-- particularly in working directly with clinicians, defining clinically-effective products, and understanding the healthcare product and service landscapeGathering and transforming business requirements and market needs into a successful product strategy.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision makingStrong technical background and natural ease to work effectively with engineers working on data, user-facing applications, and complex algorithms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with agile development methodologies like Scrum is a plus.
Computer Science, Product Design, and other engineering backgrounds.
MBA, MS or Ph.D. Entrepreneurial experience at a startup.
Demonstrated success in leading consumer, mobile-first products.
