JOB DUTIES:
This position will be responsible for the accurate and timely monthly close of the consolidated financial statements, compliance with internal close and developing improvements to processes. This position reports to the VP Finance, Corporate Controller.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the accurate and timely preparation of the monthly consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
Ensure all entries are posted accurately and monthly reconciliations are prepared
Manage the Senior Accountant
Co-ordinate and manage the annual and other ad hoc audits
Improve existing internal controls to prevent inaccuracies in the financial statements
Improve existing processes with a view to a more efficient and accurate monthly close
Oversee the payroll, expense reporting and accounts payable functions
Co-ordinate with international accounting service providers with regard to payroll and monthly management accounts

REQUIRED/PREFERRED SKILLS:
Proven experience as an assistant controller or other similar position, preferable in the technology field
Prior public accounting experience a preference
Solid knowledge of US GAAP
Experience with international operations and multi-currency consolidations
Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes and tools (Intacct and Concur a plus)
Advanced Excel skills required, including Vlookups, sumifs and Pivot Tables
Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills as well as well-organized with an ability to prioritize appropriately


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training and expertise sufficient to perform the essential duties of the position
CPA is a strong preference
Minimum of 8 years full cycle accounting experience required
